This was another early effort with the Woven Verse form. Frankly I’m not wild about it, and it certainly demonstrates how tentative some experiments can be; for its subject matter it’s just a bit… I don’t know, lightweight.
For the uninitiated Tyburn was the location of many a public execution over the generations. It had a hanging tree that was used extensively before more “civilised” minds determined that a gallows was more befitting capital punishment. For my two pennies I’m glad that ol’ Blighty abandoned the habit.
